Philomena is a Kenyan-born Lawyer & Justice. The first place she served as a judge was in Nairobi’s Commercial Court Division, where she served as a judge until 2008. After serving at the Criminal Division of the High Court in Eldoret, she was transferred back to Nairobi. Since January 2012, she has been the head of the Environment and Land Division of the High Court.
She was appointed a Justice of the Kenya Court of Appeal in November 2012. Following the appointment of Martha Koome as 15th Chief Justice, her term as Acting Chief Justice ended on 19 May 2021.
