NBA Southwest Division Wiki:- National Basketball Association (NBA) Southwest Division is one of three divisions in the Western Conference. South Central United States is the actual location of the division, despite its name.
A total of five teams compete in the division, which includes the Dallas Mavericks, the Houston Rockets, the Memphis Grizzlies, the New Orleans Pelicans, and the San Antonio Spurs. Texas has three teams, the Spurs, Rockets, and Mavericks.

There were five inaugural members of the Southwest Division, the Mavericks, the Rockets, the Grizzlies, the Hornets (now Pelicans), and the Spurs. Mavericks, Rockets, Grizzlies, and Spurs, all former Midwestern Division teams, joined the Central Division, while Pelicans were former Central Division teams.
With nine Southwest Division titles, the Spurs have dominated the division since its inception. In addition to the Rockets’ four championships, the Mavericks have won three titles, while the Pelicans and Grizzlies each have one. From the Southwest Division, four NBA champions emerged.

From the Southwest Division, four NBA champions emerged. NBA championships were won by the Spurs in 2005, 2007, and 2014, and by the Mavericks in 2011. A record of at least 50 wins was achieved by all four playoff qualifying teams in 2007-08. A winning percentage of 50% or higher was achieved by all teams in the division during the 2010-11 and 2014-15 seasons.
