Who Is Michelle Donelan?
The reappointment of former WWE marketing manager Michelle Donelan as Culture Secretary in the UK Prime Minister’s cabinet reshuffle made headlines on Tuesday, October 25. In addition to serving in the PM’s cabinet under Liz Truss, the 38-year-old was a member of the Boris Johnson cabinet for a brief period.
On September 6, former PM Liz Truss appointed Donelan as UK Culture Secretary. As a member of Truss’ cabinet, she was one of three females, along with Suella Braverman and Penny Mordaunt. Following graduation, Donelan worked for Marie Claire magazine and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) before turning to politics.
As a candidate in the 2010 general election, she was defeated by Labour MP John Healey from Wentworth and Dearne in South Yorkshire. During the 2013 election campaign, Donelan emerged as the prospective parliamentary candidate for Chippenham. For more details visit Wikipedia.

Michelle Donelan Posted As Culture Secretary of the UK
Currently serving as Minister of State for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport in Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s cabinet, Michelle Donelan is a British politician. Also appointed on September 6 by former PM Liz Truss, Donelan served in the same role in her cabinet. For a short time, she also served in Boris Johnson’s cabinet.
Donelan was born in Whitley, Cheshire, England, on April 8, 1984. Donelan gave a speech at a Conservative Party Conference in Blackpool at the age of 15 years old. Her academic background includes a master’s degree in history and politics from the University of York, followed by a high school diploma from The County High School in Leftwich.
Since July 2015, Donelan has served on the Education Select Committee. As a Member of Parliament for Chippenham in Wiltshire, she was also elected in 2015. Previously a staunch critic of Brexit, Donelan has since voted against UK’s membership in the EU. Before becoming a member of the Privy Council at Balmoral Castle in Scotland in 2021, she was Minister of State for Universities.
