
Lafayette High School Lockdown:- Lafayette High School is currently on lockdown, according to the Lafayette Police Department (LPD). The school has been placed under precautionary lockdown following a threat on social media.

The tweet, from a Twitter account created recently called @hatelhs, read “I’m tired of Lafayette high school and I’m here to retaliate.”
“Tomorrow evening at 12:16 pm I’m killing,” and then listed several students and staff members. The tweet ended by saying “I wanna kill my mom! I wanna kill my dad! I wanna kill my grandmaaaaa.”

Police confirmed that they are on the scene and investigating the threat. According to Leslie Westbrook at The Advocate, at least one student was handcuffed as approximately 50 law enforcement units surrounded the school.
A report by the Advocate revealed that LPSS confirmed the tweet mentioned below in the original story was “threats to harm students and staff members.” Lafayette High has just issued an alert informing its students that the campus is still on lockdown as authorities continue to investigate the potential threats.
LHS says that all students are safe at this time, asking parents to avoid going to the school to pick up their children.
